Several questions have come up recently about new terms, ideas and definitions related to proposed changes to Wisconsin's education accountability system.  Many of these proposals are contained within an application submitted by the state to the Department of Education seeking a waiver from No Child Left Behind mandates.  Other elements reflect interest on the DPI's part to bring about a higher standard in our state's accountability system. 

The attached documents reveal an overview of the NCLB waiver as well as definitions and explanations about Smarter Balanced Assessments, Value Added measures, and other ideas being discussed both locally and statewide.
