WKCE-CRT Assessment Frameworks - Math, Reading, and Science
The Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam-Criterion Referenced Test (WKCE-CRT) assessment frameworks provide details about the knowledge and skills measured on each of the subtests in Reading, Mathematics and, beginning in the fall of 2007, Science. Recent news indicates that Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards are not up to standard when it comes to appropriate clarity and rigor as determined by the U.S. Department of Education. The frameworks, on the other hand, are believed to better represent the detailed knowledge and skills expected to be measured on the state's accountability system.
Included are files for each of the frameworks. Math is linked below. Use the frameworks by cross-referencing classroom instruction with the skills and objectives at each grade. The WKCE-CRT in a particular grade includes skills and objectives covered in the
previous grade.
