RMS English/LA Curriculum Update

Michele Armentrout provided an update on the process for examining and selecting materials to support reading and writing instruction at Riverside Middle School in 2015-16.  The RMS ELA team is currently reviewing HMH Collections as well as Pearson's Literature materials.  Maintaining the workshop model and transitioning from the elementary and to the high school are significant considerations among the instructional components of the materials that will be selected. Committee members reviewed bound copies of the Collections series.  

Riverside Middle School SLO-

Daniela Stuckey and Luke Spielman previewed the School Learning Objectives presentation that will be delivered at the full Board meeting in January.  Student performance data from the STAR assessment and WKCE as well as past and future initiatives for professional development and collaboration were discussed as part of the school plan.
