Review of DPI's NCLB Waiver-

The committee discussed components of the Department of Public Instruction's waiver to the federal government for relief from No Child Left Behind mandates.  In lieu of these mandates, the DPI was required to submit a new accountability plan.  The attached document was shared with the committee members and highlights the major components of this plan. 

Preview of Staff Development Day-

Common Core Standards, the reading-writing connection, mathematics, English Language Learners, and research-based instructional strategies are among the topics that will be addressed on the upcoming staff in-service day (Feb. 27).  Contact Lynn with questions.
