WUSD will soon investigate the usefulness of Standards Insight, a new tool developed by CESA 7 that's designed to help districts dissect the Common Core State Standards (new national standards in Reading, Language Arts, and Math).  If adopted, Watertown educators will use the tool to identifying specific knowledge, skills, vocabulary, understandings, and evidence of student attainment for each standard.  Teams and individuals will work together to examine the standards with the ultimate goal of developing common expectations and consistent instruction within and across grade levels and content areas as a result of the Common Core alignment process.  
 
Here's hoping we're able to connect theory with practice while maintaining or growing the strengths in each of our classrooms.
