Recent discussions among staff at WHS and RMS have led to the identification of the attached grid that links various assessment methods with a particular learning target (or style).  The grid is a modification of work on effective classroom assessments by Rick Stiggins, founder of the Assessment Training Institute.  The ongoing discussions are based on The Strategic Teacher and accompanying video series that highlights learning styles and the instructional strategies that tap into them.

If you're looking for assessments that are most likely to produce accurate results (aren't we all?), please take a closer look for some simple design ideas.
