Curriculum Committee Meeting Summary for April 9

Assessment Update:

Dave Vitale reviewed the aggregated reading benchmark data from the fall and winter benchmark windows in reading and math.  Trends are moving in a positive direction.  Fall 2012 Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam (WKCE) data will be released to the public on April 23.  It is anticipated that districts statewide will see sharp declines in their performance levels in reading and math

Curriculum Committee Meeting Summary for March 12

Title I Reading Program Update:

Curriculum Committee Meeting Summary for February 7

Summer School 2013 Preview-

Erin Meyer, Summer School Director, discussed current programming and plans for the upcoming summer session that runs from June 19 to July 18.  Online registration begins on April 11.  New for 2013 is the location of the Pre-K and K program that will now be housed at Lincoln School.  Click here for more information about summer school, including the course booklets.

Curriculum Committee Meeting Summary for January 8

National Honor Society Application Criteria:

Kris Meloy and Emmie Carpenter presented changes to the application criteria for student membership to the National Honor Society (NHS).  The changes primarily reflect a return to a minimum GPA of 3.5 from 3.67.  The higher GPA standard was implemented when WHS's grading scale topped out at  4.3, which it no longer does.  Applications will be available in early February to
