The Board Curriculum Committee reviewed the new school report cards at its monthly meeting on October 16.  These reports represent a shift in reporting from the Adequate Yearly Progress reports under No Child Left Behind.  Report cards were released privately to districts in late September for internal review prior to a public release.  All school staff reviewed their respective report cards during this time as … more »

Several questions have come up recently about new terms, ideas and definitions related to proposed changes to Wisconsin's education accountability system.  Many of these proposals are contained within an application submitted by the state to the Department of Education seeking a waiver from No Child Left Behind mandates.  Other elements reflect interest on the DPI's part to bring about a higher standard in our state's accountability
