2014-15 RMS Block Schedule Plan-

Daniela Stuckey, Michele Armentrout, and Karen Lesch explained the details of a new block schedule that would be in place for the 2014-15 school-year.  Committee members reviewed components that include four 90-minute blocks, instructional time for electives and encore courses, and Flexible Instructional Time (FIT) that addresses student performance based on need.  Central outcomes of the revised schedule focus on increased instructional time for math, common planning time for staff, and universal intervention time (FIT) benefitting all students.  The process for building the schedule included input from several staff members over the course of several weeks.  The plan will be shared with the full Board of Education at its April meeting.
