PDPs for Initial and Professional License Renewal

WUSD personnel certified to serve on Initial Educator Teams

Teachers, administrators, and pupil service professionals who completed a pre-service program on or after September 1, 2004, must renew a license by completing a verified Professional Development Plan (PDP). The PDP is a process for the renewal of an educator’s license based on planned professional growth and evidence of the impact of that growth on student learning. While it is recommended that a PDP be inspired by an SLO or vice-versa, the two are not interchangeable in the eyes of the DPI.

A documented completion of a PDP is verified by a PDP review team of three members in order to renew a Professional Educator license or advance from an Initial Educator to a Professional Educator license. The PDP Verification must be submitted through QEI and received by the DPI as part of license application processing requirement.

Initial Educators seeking goal approval for Professional Development Plans may contact colleagues from the list below to serve on their Initial Educator team. An Initial Educator review team must consist of a colleague, administrator, and IHE representative each of whom must be certified to review PDPs.
