Certified Staff Evaluation Information
The primary objectives in the teacher evaluation program are to improve instruction, promote professional growth, assure quality, and develop and maintain quality, respectful dialogue in our buildings about teaching and learning.  With this in mind, the following process has been developed for the evaluation of all certified staff.

1. Create a teacher supervision/evaluation process that is consistent across the district.
 
2. Create a teacher supervision/evaluation process aligned to the Wisconsin Teacher Standards.

Review of DPI's NCLB Waiver-

The committee discussed components of the Department of Public Instruction's waiver to the federal government for relief from No Child Left Behind mandates.  In lieu of these mandates, the DPI was required to submit a new accountability plan.  The attached document was shared with the committee members and highlights the major components of this plan.

WSRA Conference is February 2-4

Kelly Gallagher "Coming" to Watertown

An exciting development was inspired by a few of our high school English teachers who recently attended a workshop in Madison to gather ideas for building a new generation of readers.  We recently learned that Kelly Gallagher, author and featured speaker at that workshop, will participate in Watertown's own online forum this fall with an emphasis on strategies contained in his latest book, Readicide
